Access to SIS

Request new or additional Student Information System access using the Security Authorizations Access Request Portal.

Steps to Request Access

This is an accordion element with a series of buttons that open and close related content panels.

I. Request the SIS Authorization Form

Complete the Security Authorizations Access Request for ‘SIS’.

II. Complete SIS Authorization Form & Compliance Form

DEAN/DIRECTOR

SIS Dean/Director Authorizer for your school/college may first need to approve starting the SIS access request process.

SUPERVISOR/MANAGER/AUTHORIZATION FORM ASSISTANT

  1. Open DocuSign email
  2. Select link to DocuSign SIS Authorization form
  3. Select [Start]
  4. Complete open Header fields
  5. Place an ‘A’ for “Add” next to each Role employee needs
    Tips:
    – For assistance on what the various roles will grant you, reference the SIS Security Role Catalog (opens in new window).
    – If a subject # is needed, enter Subject Number Code(s) (opens in new window).
    – If requesting access to Student Groups (SR_USG), refer to sampling of Student Group Codes (opens in new window).
    – If asking for update access (bold items), access is received after attending training on that topic.
  6. Enter digital signature
  7. Select [Finish]
  8. Form is automatically routed to employee

EMPLOYEE

  1. Open DocuSign email
  2. Complete required fields on SIS Authorization & Compliance Form
    Tip: For additional information on FERPA, see ‘FERPA Tips for Faculty and Staff‘.
  3. Enter digital signature
  4. Select [Finish]
  5. Form is automatically routed to Dean/Director Approver

DEAN/DIRECTOR

  1. Open DocuSign email
  2. Review request
  3. If approved:
    a. Enter digital signature
    b. Select [Finish]
  4. Form is automatically routed to Security Authorizations to complete request

III. Register for Training

Register for each training course needed.

  1. Go to Learn.
  2. Select ‘Instructor-Led Training’.
  3. ‘Register’ for desired course(s).

Notes:

  • If you ask for update access (bold items), access is received after you attend training on that topic.
  • The SIS Security Role Catalog (opens in new window) describes which training courses correspond with the various role(s).
